Our readings today talk about choice. As we “recover” from days of elections, in our own province and elsewhere in Canada, we will consider our part in the process and the effect it may have on our personal lives, our community and our nation. Our actions and attitudes may be driven by faith, by need, and, hopefully, by some common sense. Let’s look at the balance we need to keep our society healthy: issues of economics, ecology and a healthy dose of ethical standards (the three EEEs) combine to help us serve God and follow in the winding, sometimes rocky, path of Christ. What a challenge! Would we have it any other way?
