Here we are again, beginning a new year in the church, looking forward to the possibilities and promises of God as our story unfolds.
This week, we will hear part of Mary’s story, a young woman with a powerful message for our time. How is God involved in our story today, and how do we gather strength and courage to hear God’s call in our lives? Where do we find hope in a world of chaos, as we meet the challenges of a changing society? Can we have faith that nothing will be impossible with God?
Crescendo Operatic Society is returning to UCoL Murrayville with a new program, Of Shepherds and Angels, featuring the late Brazilian composer José Maurício Nunes Garcia’s Missa Pastoril para a Noite de Natal. Following this work, three angels will appear to regale the Christmas story through story and song. With opportunities for audience participation during the carols, our start to the Advent and Christmas season is sure to be merry and bright.
